Ember Shading Shades protect the windows from wildfire and flying embers from distant fires. They protect against thermal shock from radiant heat.
The window shades are made from flame-resistant and heat blocking material. Its aramid fibers have a very high melting point (932 F) and they are mildew resistant. The fabric materials are Kevlar, a para-aramid, and Nomex, a meta-aramid. The Nomex fibers carbonize and thicken by intense heat or flames, which increases the protective barrier they provide.
The shades are stored, rolled up, above each window, and they are designed to deploy automatically when flames or embers are present. When a wildfire or burning embers are present, they roll down automatically to protect your windows.
