Jet Misters

We have developed a low-cost product that protects your windows from wildfire.

They deliver a fine mist of water that is directed to produce a mist curtain adjacent to a window, to prevent thermal shock from a wildfire. They also could be used to protect other parts of your house. 

Here is a simulated wildfire outside a window. Imagine that the window is part of your house.

Our experiments show that a wildfire is easily able to break single-pane windows to admit the wildfire.

Here is a window is protected from fire by a jet mister.

The jet mister provides a mist curtain that protects the window from thermal shock and radiant heat from a wildfire.  The water mist is turned on automatically by a control valve which will activate when the temperature rises to 165 degrees Ferenheit, or when burning embers are present.
